Traffi: Industry Leader in Carbon-Neutral Safety Solutions
Traffi’s Four-Stage Sustainability Strategy
Calculate
We measure the carbon footprint of our products from cradle to grave—covering every step from raw material extraction to end-of-life disposal. Using SimaPro software and the ecoinvent database, we conduct detailed assessments with the latest emission factors. These calculations are independently verified in accordance with the ISO 14067 standard.
Confirm
Traffi emphasizes transparency by having all carbon assessments and environmental declarations verified by third-party certification bodies. Both our operational and product-based emissions meet ISO 14064-1 and ISO 14067 standards. This ensures we avoid greenwashing practices and maintain our credibility in the industry.
Curtail
Beyond measuring emissions, Traffi actively takes steps to reduce them. Aligned with the SBTi, we aim to reduce Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 46% by 2030. So far, we have already achieved over 40% reduction from our baseline
Compensate
To address unavoidable emissions, we utilize both carbon offsetting and insetting strategies. Our LXT series and TD02 disposable gloves are certified as carbon-neutral, setting new standards in the industry by offsetting emissions across their entire life cycle.
Insetting and Offsetting in Traffi’s Sustainability Strategy
Insetting:
Insetting focuses on carbon reduction projects within our supply chain. In 2015, we launched a reforestation project in Sri Lanka, restoring 225 hectares of degraded land. This project is monitored and audited under the ISO 14064-2 standard to ensure compliance and sustainability.Offsetting:
We also compensate for emissions through external projects, such as micro-hydro power plants and floating solar installations in India. Additionally, we contribute to the removal of HFC-23 refrigerant gas in Rajasthan, further supporting global efforts to reduce greenhouse gases.
